About Me
Hello There!
My name is Mark, I am a Computer Science Student at Queen's University in Belfast. I have been working in a Secondary School for over 2 years as an I.T. Support Officer while I study. From this working experience, I have been able to gain numerous new skills in areas such as video editing, RJ45 Ethernet cabling, and computer suite installations which has enhanced my troubleshooting capabilities much further. Due to working in a school setting, it has influenced me in my final year project to create an educational 3D Platformer game to help students understand the concepts of data structures while making it fun. 😃
Hobbies And Interest.
During my free time whenever I'm not studying or working I enjoy doing some of the following:
- I've recently developed an interest in game development due to its diversity. Initially, my three friends and I started planning a small game with Unreal Engine. However, we had to pause our project as I enrolled in a week-long Game Design and Development course at Utrecht University.
- I spend a lot of my time learning new skills and different software through courses on Udemy, such as 3D animation in Maya, Linux training and drawing with Procreate.
- Lately, I have got back into running to try and increase my fitness levels again. A new goal of mine is to consistently run 3 nights a week. Hopefully I can stick to it. 🤞

Since beginning university, I have spent a considerable amount of time developing my programming skills and enjoy the challenges that come with it. Below are some of the languages and technologies I have used throughout my studies so far and personal projects such as developing this website.
